If you are wanting to cut down you brake lines to neaten up a build or fit a new line that is too long, then you will need a new insert barb and olive for the end of the line that is cut. This compression bushings and pressed into shape and provide a solid and more importantly fluid tight seal between the brake caliper and master cylinder meaning no loss of fluid and no loss of pressure.
